Our Motorcycle track is located on BHP land at the Westernport Site in Hastings. Entrance to the Motorcycle facility is off Denham Road, Tyabb, out the back of the BHP Employee Recreation Centre.
- The aim of the
HASTINGS BLUE LIGHT MOTORCYCLE CLUB
is to provide a safe and legal area for off-road motorcycle use for local youth and their families.
- We have two tracks, a Senior track and a Junior track.
- Club officials supervise the facility during operating hours and parents arealso expected to supervise their children.
- We intend having riding classes (coaching) for members.
Some of our objectives include:
- Providing a facility for the use of motorcycles that encourages family participation.
- Reduce or eliminate complaints from members of the public concerning motorcyle users (dirt bikes).
- Encourage and enhance positive interaction between Police, motorcycle users and other members of the public.
Some of the restrictions applied to the facility are as follow:
- Mornington Peninsula Shire residents and ratepayers only may become members.
-
Operating times: SATURDAY 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and SUNDAY 11.00 AM to 4.00 PM, closed 3rd and 4th SUNDAYS of every month. Open WEDNESDAY of school holidays - only if supervised by club oficial. Open Some PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
- Members only, may ride motorbikes at the facility.
Although only members are permitted to use the facility, visitors are more than welcome to be spectators at the track, after all, it is a community project aimed at having a better community understanding of motorcycle users. The intent of the facility is an emphasis on enjoyment and encourage responsibility inherent with club membership with local youth, not create an expectation that it is a race track.
